Thanks again to my awesome sponsors: Veeam and NetApp. This event wouldn’t take place without their commitment to our community.

While you’re thinking about vForum Sydney 2012 you should also think about presenting a vBrownBag lightning talk, a ten minute presentation on something for the community. The registration link for presenters is here.

VMDownUnderground returns in 2012

The event before the event is back. Inspired by the VMunderground party before VMworld USA, VMdownunderground is your opening opportunity to meet people from the VMware community who are active in the ANZ region.

I am delighted to announce that there will be VMdownunderground 2012 on Tuesday 13th November, the evening before vForum Sydney opens.  The details are at http://vmdownunderground2012.eventbrite.com/ where you will be able to buy tickets from 10:00 next Tuesday 23rd October. All proceeds from the ticket sales are being donated to Bear Cottage to help them to care for children who have a life-limiting illness.

I’m also delighted to welcome back my two sponsors from last year, both Veeam and NetApp have returned to support this community. I’m still seeking a few more sponsors to enable a larger event than last year.

Book the date and I look forward to seeing you there.

vBrownBag Tech Talks will be at vForum Sydney

After the excellent San Francisco and Barcelona sessions in August and October the Tech Talks are coming to Sydney.

Tech Talks are an opportunity for you to present something, anything, that is of interest to the Virtualisation community.  It doesn’t need to be unique and undiscovered but it should be something important to you and useful to others.

The best sessions are ones where you’ve done something or learnt something the hard way and you can help other people have an easier time of the same problem.

There are plenty of examples of what other people have presented n the LiveStream web site at www.livestream.com/vmwarecommunitytv

If you’d like to submit a session then fill in the form here and I’ll get in touch.
